UK Ag Equine Programs hold their second annual photography contest

LEXINGTON, Ky. (UK Public Relations) – The University of Kentucky Agricultural Equine Programs announces its second equine-focused digital photography contest. Submissions will be accepted until February 28.
Everyone is encouraged to participate, from students to the general public. There are three age categories for submissions: UK Student, Youth (17 and under) and Open (18 and over).

UK Ag Equine Programs seeks original, high quality photography that features any discipline or breed of horse, horses interacting with people and a more artistic category. Photographers can submit photos online via a Google form.

Entries will be judged by a committee of qualified staff, students and photographers in early March.

The winning image from each division will be posted on the UK Ag Equine Programs Facebook page for a ‘People’s Choice Award’. Voting for the prize will be determined by the number of likes each image receives by 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday, March 11.

Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category as well as the opportunity to be featured in the monthly program newsletter,The gallop of the wild catand other UK publications.
