Renowned researcher to lead Goodman workshop on emerging analytics tool – The Brock News

To make informed decisions, companies are exposed to large amounts of information, called “Big Data”, which must be converted into knowledge. To do this, organizations must choose between several methods of analysis.

Joseph Hair, director of the doctoral program at the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama, will share his thoughts on an increasingly popular statistical tool, PLS-SEM, during a workshop edition of Goodman’s Luncheon Speaker Series.

PLS-SEM can be used to explore complex theoretical models and improve academics’ and practitioners’ understanding of how consumers choose the products and services they buy. On Friday, April 1, Hair will present the emerging analytical tool in its workshop, “Recent Methodological Developments for PLS”.

Hair is the world’s top PLS-SEM author and expert, ranked #1 worldwide by Clarivate Analytics in Marketing, Multivariate Data Analysis, SEM, and PLS-SEM. He also holds the Cleverdon Chair of Business at the Mitchell College of Business at the University of South Alabama.

The Goodman Lecture Series provides Goodman faculty, staff, and students with an informal opportunity to listen and virtually discuss recent advances in research, teaching, and practice with business colleagues.

The hair workshop will take place on Friday, April 1 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Space in person and online is limited and interested participants should RSVP in advance by contacting Crystal Li at [email protected]
