Pursuing a career in landscape photography

Landscape photography is a popular genre, but the vast majority of those who enjoy it do so as a hobby and not as a profession. So how do those who do it professionally make it a career? This insightful video features a professional landscape photographer discussing his long-term approach to his career and some things to know along the way.

Landscape photography is a wonderful genre, but on the business side, and it can be especially difficult. That being said, it doesn’t have to be an all-or-nothing proposition. I love to go on hikes with my camera and I sell prints of local landmarks on my personal website. It’s certainly not a life-changing amount of money, but having a little bit of passive income just by enjoying the time with my camera is really nice, and it doesn’t take a lot of work to put in place.
