People living with chronic pain are encouraged to participate in the Better Health Now with Pain workshop

Starting in mid-August, Healthy Living for ME is offering a free workshop to help people with a wide range of chronic pain issues. Better Health Now with Pain is ideal for people with a wide range of chronic painful conditions unrelated to cancer such as arthritis, back pain, post-surgical pain and headaches, as well as other conditions that last more than three months. despite the treatment. Caregivers of those with long-term pain are also invited to participate in the workshop. Topics covered will include pacing and planning, medication management, and the Moving Easy program, among others.

Participants in this workshop will receive a free toolkit that will be delivered by mail and will work with a certified leader over the phone at pre-determined times, either on their own or in small groups.

The “Better Health Now With Pain” telephone workshops are held once a week for six weeks and last for one hour. The next workshop is scheduled from Monday August 16 to September 27. The documents will be mailed the week before the start of the course.

In October, Healthy Living for Maine will also feature “Living Well with Chronic Pain”. Anyone interested in this workshop is invited to register now or call Healthy Living for Maine for more information. This workshop is free, run on Zoom and open to all Adult Mainers with chronic pain unrelated to cancer. “Living Well with Chronic Pain” lasts six weeks with a choice of workshops on Monday or Thursday.
