Kane County Regional Office of Education Announces Student Photography Contest – Shaw Local

The 2022 Kane County Regional Office of Education Student Photography Contest is a nine-week photography contest for high school students in Kane County. The competition will run from September 26 to November 21.

According to a press release, the competition is a collaborative effort between the Kane County ROE and the Kane Excellence in Education Partnership to recognize and celebrate talent within Kane County high school art departments. Submitted photos will be reviewed by the ROE Photo Review Committee. The 10 best photos will be selected and published on kaneroe.org and the RE Facebook page.

Each week, teachers will approve and submit their students’ photos to their respective Google Drive folder, provided by the Kane ROE. Submissions are due Monday or the first day of school each week at 3:30 p.m.

Interested participants should contact the Kane ROE at [email protected] for a Google Folder setup.

Timing and subject of submission:

• 1 week: September 26 – Nature/Landscape

• Week 2: October 3 – Architecture

• 3rd week: October 11 (Due to holidays on October 10) – Autumn fun

• Week 4, October 17 – Sports Photography

• Week 5: October 24 – Texture

• Week 6: October 31 – Editorial

• Week 7: Nov. 7 – School Spirit

• Week 8: November 14 – Bird’s Eye View or Bird’s Eye View

• 9 week: November 21 – Artist’s Choice
