- Starving photographer deleted all photos after being denied food at wedding
- The groom told him he had to be the photographer or he could leave without pay
- The photographer added that no tables were reserved for him and that there was not even an opportunity to get water
A photographer who deleted all photos from his camera right in front of the groom after being refused food at the wedding asked people for their opinions.
“I’m not really a photographer, I’m a dog groomer. I take a lot of dog photos all day long to put them on my Facebook and Instagram, that’s ‘my thing’ if that makes sense,” he said. he writes on Reddit.
A friend who wanted to save money convinced him to click on his wedding photos. âI told him it wasn’t really my forte but he convinced me by saying he didn’t care if they were perfect,â he said.
The photographer agreed to take the shot for $ 250. He started working around 11 a.m. and was due to finish around 7:30 p.m. âAround 5 pm food is served and I was told I couldn’t stop to eat because I had to be a photographer; in fact, they didn’t reserve a seat for me at any table, âhe wrote.
He continued, âI’m tired and at this point I kinda regret doing this for next to nothing. It’s also incredibly hot: the place is in a former legion of vets and it’s like 110F and it doesn’t. there is no air conditioning. âTo add to that, there was no facility to get water.
He then told the groom that he needed a 20 minute break to eat and drink something. However, the groom told him that “I must either be a photographer or leave without pay”.
The photographer added: “With the heat, the hunger, being generally annoyed by the circumstances, I asked if he was sure, and he said yes, so I deleted all the photos I took before him and I walked away saying I’m not his photographer anymore. If I were to be paid $ 250, honestly then I would have paid $ 250 just for a glass of cold water and a place to sit for 5 minutes. “
The post also mentioned that the newlyweds had gone on their honeymoon and left social media, as people asked them about the wedding photos.
The post went viral on social media, with internet users supporting the photographer.
One user said, âThey wanted friend fare, but they didn’t even spare you food? Dogs are much better people than these “friends”. Another wrote: “If you deny someone food and water and even a break, you are certainly not a companion and not entitled to these rates.”
A third user suggested, “OP shouldn’t have deleted the footage. As satisfying as it may be, they should have left, and then, when his friend asked about them later, he should have told them that ‘she would sell them the pictures for double or triple the price – the price. ” Another added: “I can’t wait to see the update when everyone finds out there are no photos.”
