To celebrate Earth Day this year, the City of Belleville’s Green Task Force has funded a free workshop for residents, to be hosted by Earth Day Canada.

The “I adopt an eco-responsible way of life” workshop will be held virtually on April 21 (the day before Earth Day) from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will offer viewers concrete and affordable ways to help reduce their environmental impact. .

The workshop will be led by Tess Wittmann, Climate Reality Lead and Circular Innovation Council Certified Waste Auditor, and will cover ways to combat food waste, reduce your personal waste, extend the life of useful life of your assets and to offer other profitable and environmentally friendly tips. in use.

“Our goal with this event is to remind residents that every action truly matters when it comes to caring for the planet,” said committee chair Coun. Chris Malette in a press release.

“We recognize the overwhelming burden that can sometimes be associated with environmental issues and wanted to provide residents with simple, achievable changes that can be made on a regular basis that create a huge impact.”
