Agri-food workshops for farmers | The Molokai dispatch

Whether you are an experienced farmer, a promising market gardener, or you find yourself somewhere in between, then this series of workshops is for you! There will be four free workshops offered in August and September that will focus on the business side of farming and farming. The workshops will be offered both in person and will have a Zoom component for those who cannot meet in person.

The first workshop will be held on Thursday, August 12 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Applied Research and Demonstration Classroom on UH Molokai Farm (next to Kumu Farms). This workshop will focus on keeping farm records and will be a mix of instruction and a question-and-answer session with a panel of farmers from Molokai. There are 10 in-person seats available and an unlimited number of spaces available to join by Zoom. In-person seats will be filled in the order of receipt of online registrations. Other workshops in the series include Marketing on August 26, Postharvest Handling (Field Demonstration) on September 2, and Resources / Funding on September 9. Please plan to join us for one or all of the series.
